STAR Kids (Sports, Teams And Responsibility Kids) is a not-for-profit corporation that has been actively running specialized sport & recreational youth programs in New York City and Rockland County since 2000.
In that time, we have run programs in conjunction with the N.Y.S. “The Anti-Gang Task Force”, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Clarkstowns Parks Board & Recreation Commission, local and New York City School Districts: after-school programming, and for local Community Centers in Harlem, Orangetown, Clarkstown and The Town of Haverstraw. Its “Saturday Sports Sampler” and other specialized sport & recreational programs has featured tennis, fencing, skateboarding, BMX biking, roller hockey, track, chess, kayaking and acting. Learn-To-Ice-Skate/Play Hockey has always been its most popular program. In 2008, opening day at the Palisades Ice Rink was attended by more than 400 participants. We invite every family with children between the ages of 5 & 12 to share in the joy our programs brings to participating families and the community.
S.T.A.R Kids is a 501(c)(3) registered organization incorporated in the State of New York.
